A Grain of Salt
I write not out of my knowledge and understanding, but out of my ignorance and lack of understanding. This shall be the character of my writing even as I develop and grow into God. My writings are to be treated with a grain of salt as they are nothing but reflections of emptiness within my empty soul. Yet, I still have hope that my writings can be of value and contribute to God’s plan of salvation and to His Church and to all of His creation. That is the sole basis of my desire to write and my plan to write.
The first point of
ignorance is on the state of the world. The world is in a miserable sinful
state, it has done even more to rebel against God and divorce herself from God.
I feel that the sin of the world is now unprecedented, but some would say that
it has always been like that. However, it is only my unsubstantiated feeling.
Who truly knows the heart of humanity but God alone? He alone knows the deepest
soul of humanity, what we truly want, what we truly hurt, and what we truly
see, that is Him. So I think based on this ignorance of the sins of the world,
uncertain on whether there is true great sin, or is everything as it normally
is.
Whatever the state of
the world, we should not be so concerned with it, if our own state is just as
bad as the world’s. What is the point of us saving the world if our own soul is
condemned to hell? Yet if we contribute so much to the salvation of souls, then
our own soul will most likely be saved. Yet at the same time, what is the point
of saving so many souls, if our own soul is lost to the second death? So, we
ought to build on ourselves first, but in truth, building ourselves and the
world goes hand in hand, they are not as separate as people think, by building
ourselves we help build the world. By securing our own salvation we help save
other souls as well.
Because how do you get
saved? By getting others to be saved. By loving God and loving neighbor, caring
about others. So, you save others to save yourself. You worship God to earn
salvation for yourself and for others. It is all a united act of salvation, by
yourself, by God, by others, for the salvation of yourself and humanity. The point
is this, when you want to help others, you must remember, are you helping
others for the true purpose of saving yourself, or are you helping others for a
false purpose of earthly satisfaction, temporal emotional satisfaction? If you
help others yet you neglect your own family and your own self, there is
something wrong. It is better that you care for your family and for your self
well but have no time for others outside rather than neglect your family and
yourself such that you fall in your service to the outside world.
That is all I can say
for now.
