Examen 19-25 February 2023

Examen 21 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. In this day we were scolded by the lecturer of failure in task. Then I slept in the campus at break, and continued with playing drones in photo journalism. At home I saw that I had great anxiety which persisted even though I was praying unceasingly. It ended in a massive transformation of my relationship with God and I recorded it extensively. That is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Kondisi Rohani Rabu Abu 2023

2023 Ash Wednesday Spiritual State

In the name of the Most Holy and Most Merciful Triune God. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. My brothers and sisters in Christ. This is an account of my current spiritual state, written in the guidance of Christ in the Holy Spirit by the grace of the Father. It began on this day, Ash Wednesday, 22 nd of February the year of our Lord 2023. I was attempting to practice Catholic mysticism using the Jesus prayer, the one that says, “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner.” I have prayed it in repetition before in my soul when I am not using my mind, such as in commutes or in the shower. In the early morning, I shut my room and the lights and I prayed it again. I had no real expectation of what is going to happen, but in the beginning I felt this great spiritual burning, some sort of purification. So I felt tired and I stopped reciting the prayer. It is at that ...

Examen 12-18 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. I cannot seem to remember much highlights other than the Spiritual Testimony which I have written and also what I have said to Rio. The rest was good as well, but I just could not remember it well, or unite it into a cohesive theme. I do recall Christ telling me that I have to reorganize my examens. So I will attempt to do it starting from 21 st of February. I think that is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 20 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. In this day I had classes, but during an assignment I felt it again, this resentment and emotion, a bad mood. So I apologized to my teammates though implicitly once the day ended. Thanks to the last days before Lent, Christ gave me some sort of dispensation of activity before Lent begins in Ash Wednesday. That is all I remember. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 19 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. In this day, I served at Sunday School, I went to Mass, and I went to Choir Practice. At choir, I was filled with resentment and hatred towards, pretty much everyone. I do not know why. I simply asked God to help me clean me soul. I cannot remember much else. That is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 18 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Today I joined the Legionary meeting, that is for God. I scanned the book, that is for God. God gave me many green lights. I wrote the translation to the Spiritual Testimony, that is for God. I spoke with Rio in loving friendship, that is for God. I am not aware of any sins. But if I have commited any sins, I pray to God that He shall reprimand me and forgive me for it. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Spiritual Testimony

This is a translation of a testimony which I have sent to many people and many reacted positively, indicating that my words have given goodness to people. For that reason I am moved to share this to you as well, with the hope that God may work through my words for your goodness. To my brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ. This story is a true story of my experiences as a Catholic and as a follower of Christ. In truth I do not feel worthy to share this story, for I am merely a sinful servant of God who must shut up and listen more than speaking. Yet, Christ commands us to preach the Gospel and as a lay Dominican I am bound to contemplate and share the fruits of my contemplation. So whether I want or not, ready or not, worthy or not, I must speak. I pray to our Lord Jesus Christ that not only I speak but rather the Holy Spirit works through me. I pray that this writing is useful for you and not just for mental masturbation. This writing is inspired from a conversation I had ...

Ses...

Examen 17 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. I chose to forego the examen in this day as I was mentally exhausted. So I wrote it today. I did not sleep between 16 and 17 of February, because I spoke with my friends from a group and I was inspired on my spiritual experiences. So in the day, I chose to write down a long reflection, a testimony of my spiritual life. And I shared it and I received many positive feedback, showing that I have once again contributed to the goodness of others. It is good to remind oneself on the good works one has done, especially for me who likes to forget about my own goodness and condemn myself for worthlessness. In the night I joined EJR and because of that I was exhausted. That is all I remember. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 16 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. This day was beautiful. I experienced this joy of Christ, this spirit, the Holy Spirit, in me working in the Personal Evangelization Course. Of course I experienced this joy throughout the day as well. I went to college and enjoyed classes. In the PEC, I learned one thing which was refreshed, “Salvation is transformation.” Salvation transforms your entire being, it makes you not just a more rational person, but also a happier person. That is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 15 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Half of the day was devoted to sleeping. So that was a major mistake of mine because I faced pain so I cannot pray. However, the day was not wasted completely. I had some work done, such as the Radar meeting and also preparing for the offline Legionary meeting. Last night, I cried because of God, and I almost masturbated at the dispensation of the Lord. But I was so tired so I simply slept immediately. Today, I cannot seem to remember much things. I do remember offering myself up to wash just one more plate. I think that is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 14 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. I almost came late to class today, but by the grace of God I managed to arrive before the lecturer even. In Narrative Storytelling we merely reviewed identifying the elements of a factual story. Then I came home, while walking with Clara. I did some managerial work, and then continued with the next class. There I studied about the triangle of lighting in camera work. The class ended and I successfully did not sleep thus my life today was majorly productive. There was slight conflict with Christ, well a minor conflict where I complained about how terrifying He is and how, “tempting”, He is. Yet He responded that that is precisely what I wanted. So I can’t really complain. And He is correct, He is absolutely correct. It seems I am a masochist in front of God. I believe that is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, a...

Examen 13 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. In this day I was exhausted and missed the examen. I simply went to college, but I failed many of my duties to God as He desires them. Regardless I enjoyed college and it was a good day. But I cannot remember much of my day. I do remember that somehow my lecturer saw me sleeping in the canteen and asked me about it. I was also slightly late to the first class yet I did not break the 15 minute rule. I joined the Legionary Meeting as well and it was after that I fell into slumber. I think I also cried because Christ was too strict on me and I slept because of that. That is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 12 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. It seems I totally forgot about the examen for this day, so I actually wrote this up 2 days after, hahaha. I went to Mass, though I was late, and then I joined choir practice and tried to join the Catechism class but I was so tired I just slept and left halfway. I remember my lack of decisiveness to work on something or not as commanded by God. But Christ gave me the new command of speaking to Him daily and recording His words daily. I think this is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 5-11 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. This week has been a good week, it is the first week of the second semester of college, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The assignments have not piled up, but I must prepare for the waves, they are coming. I prayed much in these times and also Christ spoke to me more and my relationship with Christ improved. Meanwhile I am wondering how do I improve the weekly and monthly examens. Though I guess they are sufficiently good for now. My Catholic Faith is strengthened and it seems that there will be some sort of event inn 12 days, on the 24 th of February. Whatever that event is, I do not know. Perhaps it is the Warning, perhaps it is something else. But Christ pronounced to me that He shall give me other tasks starting from that day. That is all from this week. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginnin...

Examen 11 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. This day was a good day, I travelled around with my dad to buy the camera and also to shave my beard and mustache. I also managed to study in preparation of the interview and reportage quiz. Unfortunately I made a severe mistake, that mistake is buying too much food, though they are ridiculously cheap as well. The consequence is not throwing them away but having to keep them until the next day. It seems these kinds of mistakes will happen, I just pray to God that it will eventually be purified and disappear entirely. That is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 10 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. I am tired, in pain. Yet today was a good day. I enjoyed today’s class. Yet I sinned against God, the usual sin. I also did some other stuff. The Legionary meeting and the EJR was cancelled. Yet I am still not fully effective. My God, help me so I am better tomorrow. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 9 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Today was a great day, a day full of the Holy Spirit. I helped my friend from PEC with his, seemingly complicated problem but it is resolvable by Your own Voice to him. So glory be to You forever. Lord, I have studied and I have joined PEC today. So I am thankful to You as I can study more about sharing You to others. I know Your Word, that I shall one day share You to my family and to my friends. For You desire me to be Your Apostle and Your Prophet. I will be those for You, my Lord, and my God. I thank You for Your calling. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 8 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. In this day I intentionally forego the examen because of the laziness of freedom. College has tired me out and I desired rest, not just sleep, but a thorough rest. Nevertheless, I joined Vespers because I had a task to help lead the Rosary there, and I also joined the first meeting of Radar where I explored my ideas and shared my ideas to the group. It was a nice meeting and I enjoyed it. The rest of the day was insubstantial and so I don’t recall much of it, that is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 7 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. In this day I chose to forego the examen due to laziness. However, the day was a generally good day as well. I was sleepy for the beginning of the day and also slept in evening. Yet the day generally improved and it was a good day in class and at home. It was good because I enjoyed the classes and the good news is there are no assignments from this day. So in the next day I am generally free. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 6 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. In this day I totally missed the examen. So I had to write the examen in the next day. This day is the first day of class for me and it was wholly fun and enjoyable. I managed to get my confession and so far I have not sinned, at least mortally. I was struck with pain in Vespers and Rosary and so I slept until I almost missed my assignment deadline. But I was saved by God to finish the assignment and fulfill the deadline. In this way I am saved by God Most Holy, Most Merciful. That is all I recall from the day. That is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 5 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Today was a wonderful day. It was first a day of holiness. I served in the Sunday School, though my role was small, I felt great joy doing that. Then at night I joined the weekly catechesis and learned a great deal of knowledge, which indeed I have possessed as a seed, but God took care of that seed and made it grow into a fuller understanding of what I have received from other men. I cannot remember any particular sins which I have made today. Yet the fear, that fear of divorce from Christ remains, and it manifested itself in a dream. This is the second time the Lord lead me to face such fears. That is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 29 January - 4 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. This week began with holiness and ended in holiness. Yet in the middle it seems I have fallen due to a lack of prayer. It was partially justifiable due to my rest from Sunday, the great day of God’s providential act. Eventually the Lord preordained my nature to rise again from prayer slumber and enjoy His companionship. In general this week is not a bad week, but I resolve to do better and strive for discipline and consistency in prayer. That is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 4 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Today is a day of holiness, for I succeeded in all prayers requested by God to me. I also succeeded in my hours of labor. I went to my neighbor’s house to study some equipment I will be operating tomorrow. I also went to a restaurant with my family, the historical Bakso Loncat. Yet as the day nears its end, sorrow approaches and pain enters my mind. However, joy is not lost. I also began discussions on the nature of Sacred Tradition, and I obtain greater understanding of Sacred Tradition, but I believe there is still much to be done. That is all, soon I shall lead the server Rosary, alone or with someone else. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church The Characteristics of Faith

Faith is foremost a grace of God, it means faith comes from God. Before we can have faith, the Holy Spirit must have helped us first interiorly, who moves our heart and converts us to God, opens the eyes of our mind nad makes it easy for us to accept and believe the truth. Belief is possible only by grace and the interior helps of the Holy Spirit. Yet it is also true that faith is a human act. To trust in God is not contrary to our freedom or dignity, just as it is not contrary to dignity to trust in man, then it is even less contrary to trust in Him who cannot deceive nor be deceived. In faith, the human intellect and will cooperate with divine grace. We believe in the truths of God not because of their logical appearance, but because they come from God who is infallible. However, for the sake of reason, God wills external proofs of His Revelation, such as the miracles of Christ and the saints, prophecies, the Church’s growth and holiness, and her fruitfulness and stability. These s...

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church I Know Whom I Have Believed

Faith is the personal adherence of man to God and the absolute free assent to all God’s revelations. In this definition, faith in God is different from faith in man. For it is right and just to entrust ourselves to God and to believe absolutely what He says. Doing the same thing to a creature would be futile and false. However, to believe in God means to also believe in Christ for Christ is God. Only Christ has seen the Father and thus can reveal the Father, no other man can do that. Finally we also believe in the Holy Spirit because it is revealed to us in Scripture that He is God. As it is the Holy Spirit who reveals to us the divinity of Christ. What appearances fail to reveal, the Holy Spirit by our faith reveals the truth. The Holy Spirit alone knows God because God alone knows God.

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church The Obedience of Faith

The adequate response to Revelation is faith, by which man completely submits his intellect and will to God. Sacred Scripture calls this submission the obedience of faith. To possess faith is to submit to that which we have heard as we have God as its infallible source. Abraham is the model and the Virgin Mary is the perfect embodiment of this obedience. Abraham’s faith which leads to his deeds, culminating in his willful giving of his son for sacrifice, is counted as righteousness by God. In fact it is what righteousness is, submission of the will to God. The Old Testament is full of witnesses to this faith in God, the Epistle to the Hebrews shows some examples who are approved by God. Yet God gave us something better, the grace of believing in His Son Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. The Virgin Mary’s faith is embodied in her 2 greatest acts, that is assenting to the plan of the Incarnation to be done through her, and when Mary remained with her Son until His death at...

Daily Biblical Reflection 4 February 2023

Examen 3 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Today was a good day, marked by Legionary Meeting and also Emmaus Journey Meeting. Yet I had a major nap in the morning, which is not too spectacular. Yet I recall a dream, there was a second deluge, but God stopped the flood in a spectacular manner. That is all. Then I managed to commit my hours of labor today, and by the direct command of Christ, I prayed my Rosary and my 23 prayers. So today is a good day, a beginning in holiness again after this week I have forsakened many prayers. Then I recall that the times to the hypothetical warning is extremely close. I am not resting my entire faith on it, but I am watching everything. Otherwise, today is a good day. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church Sacred Scripture in the Life of the Church

The Word of God is the strength of the faith of the Church, food for her soul, and pure and lasting font of spiritual life. Therefore, all Christian faithful must have access to Sacred Scripture. The Scripture must be the very soul of sacred theology. The ministry of the Word too is healthily nourished and thrives in holiness through the Word of Scripture. The Church with force and specification exhorts all Christian faithful to learn the knowledge of Christ through frequent readings of Scripture. Remember, ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of Christ.

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church The Holy Spirit, Interpreter of Scripture

In order to interpret Scripture, we must be attentive to 2 things, what the intentions of the writers are and what God intends to reveal through the human words. To discover the human intention, we must take into account the historical context. To discover the divine intention, we must interpret it in the light of the Holy Spirit who inspired the human writers to write down Scripture. Vatican II indicates 3 criteria to interpret Scripture. First, we must be attentive to the content and unity of the whole Scripture. Second, we must read Scripture in light of the living Tradition or Word of God in the whole Church. Finally, we must pay attention to the coherence of the truths of faith among themselves and within the whole plan of Revelation. There are 4 senses of Scripture, based on 2 senses of Scripture, the literal and the spiritual sense of Scripture. The literal sense of Scripture is what the words actually say based on sound exegesis and interpretation. All other senses of Scriptu...

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church Inspiration and Truth of Sacred Scripture

God is the author of Sacred Scripture. All contents of Sacred Scripture are written down under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. In reliance on the faith of the apostolic age, the Church accepts as sacred and canonical all the books of Sacred Scripture on the grounds that they are inspired by the Holy Spirit, that they have God as their author and have been handed on as such to the Church. God inspired the human authors of the sacred books and by that we mean that He used them as instruments of His Word, such that they write down whatever the Lord wants to be written and nothing else. The Sacred Scriptures by logical necessity teach the truth, as the author is God Himself who cannot deceive nor be deceived. It teaches us that truth for the sake of our salvation which God desires us to see in Sacred Scripture without any error. However, Sacred Scripture is not the center of the Christian faith, for it is not a religion of the book, but a religion of the Word of God, which is Christ ...

Examen 2 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Today I woke up in the morning, but I had a major nap after that. I bought food to relinquish my pain. The pain is from trying to figure out what I want or need to write for Komunika. So I bought too expensive food, not too much, but just too expensive. I tried to cycle but it was brief because I got exhausted. My programming was also hindered due to some pain issues. I joined PEC today and it was nice as usual. I recall the part of Christ being the waters of life and also becoming the springs in our own soul. I recall my discussions with my friend about Sacred Scripture. It was, a nice day. As in the end of the day, I accepted a colleague from PEC who wanted to take me home, and we practiced the skills of friendship in the conversation. It was nice. Yet in the end I possess some sorrow, some sort of loneliness. I am also reminded by the Holy S...

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church Christ The Unique Word of Sacred Scripture

The Word of God is transmitted to us in human language, for our own understanding as that is the limits of our understanding. As such, the speech of God expressed in human language is in every way like our own speech, just as Christ became like men when He took on human nature. By all the words of Sacred Scripture, God speaks only one syllabic word, that is Christ, in whom God expresses Himself completely and fully. For this reason, Sacred Scripture is venerated in equality to the Lord’s Body. In Sacred Scripture, the Church finds her nourishment and strength, for it is not the words of men, but truly it is the Word of God expressed in human language. In the Scriptures, God converses lovingly with His children.

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church The Interpretation of the Heritage of Faith

The Deposit of the Faith, or depositum fidei is entrusted by the apostles to the whole Church. By adhering to this heritage, the entire holy people of God united to its pastors or priests remain always faithful to the teachings of the apostles. By this there should be a remarkable harmony between the faithful and the bishops. The task of interpretation has been entrusted to the living, teaching office of the Church alone. Specifically those who possess this teaching office are the bishops in communion with the successor of Peter, the Bishop of Rome. However, the Magisterium is not superior to the Word of God, rather its servant. She teaches only what has been given to her, to the next generation of the Church. All that the Church Magisterium proposes as divine revelation should be traceable to the deposit of faith be it Scripture or Tradition. With Christ’s words, “He who hears you, hears me,” the faithful ought to receive with docility the teachings and directives that the priests ...

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church The Relationship Between Tradition and Sacred Scripture

Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture communicate with each other and flow out of one common source that is God. They become one thing that is revelation, and move towards the same goal that is the salvation of mankind. Both Sacred Tradition and Scripture make present the mystery of Christ who promises us to be with us until the end of time. Sacred Scripture is the speech of God put down in writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. While Tradition transmits in its entirety the Word of God entrusted to the apostles and their successors so enlightened by the Holy Spirit, they may faithfully preserve, expound, and spread it abroad by their preaching. The Church does not derive her certainty about all revealed truths from Sacred Scripture alone, rather from Sacred Tradition as well. Both Scripture and Tradition must be accepted and honored with equal sentiments of devotion and reverence. Now Sacred Tradition and the various theological, disciplinary, liturgical, and devotional tr...

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church The Apostolic Tradition

When we say that God desires the salvation of all, we never really mean that He possess some feeling of desire that can be failed or violated or anything, thus causing some genuine suffering in God, these interpretations are heretical and logically absurd. What we mean instead is that God gives all people grace sufficient for their salvation. However, God elects only some people to salvation and He passes over the rest to damnation. So in one sense it is true that God wills all men to be saved, while in another sense He does not will all men to be saved, rather He wills some to be saved and others to be damned. Had the will of God been absolutely universal, then hell shall never be preached. The absolute union with God consists in the immediate and direct knowledge of God. Yet Christ is God, so really the knowledge is the knowledge of Christ Jesus, our Lord, God, and Savior. For the purpose of salvation, and as the instrumental means of that salvation, Christ must be proclaimed to al...

Examen 1 February 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. I would like to open this examen with a reform of the examen system. In the past days, I have only done the examen by recollecting the events. Yet now I wish to deepen my reflections of my experiences. So this is how the examen shall proceed. First there will be a prayer, then there shall be the writing of the examen. The examen consists in these things, a recollection of what God has done for me, a recollection of what I have done for God, and a recollection of what I have done against God. For the examen is meant to not only be a reflection of events in a secular way, but as a reflection of life centered upon God. The prayer itself is meant to ask God to guide us in this examen. Now the prayer is done, let us begin. Today the Lord has given me life, He has given me the graces such that I may wake up, eat, take a shower, brush my teeth, buy ...

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church Christ Jesus Mediator and Fullness of Revelation

In the past, God has delivered His revelations through the prophets. Now He has delivered His revelation without any mediation, that is by His Word made flesh, our Lord Jesus Christ. Remember that the Word of God is consubstantial with God Himself. Therefore, God has now delivered Himself in the humanity of Christ to man. In Christ, God has delivered His very self, so there can be no more revelation other than Christ. For Christ is God and God is the Perfection of Revelation, such that when Christ is sent to the world, Revelation is utterly exhausted as there is nothing else that can be said other what Christ is, God. Albeit Revelation is complete, it is not fully explicit to the minds of men. Christian faith must expound, develop, and deepen its understanding of Christ as the supreme Word of God over time. Throughout the centuries, there have been various private revelations, which are not additions to Christ, but most usually a practical guide to help live according to Christ more ...
