Examen January 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. The month of January began with 2 weeks of stagnation, a remnant of the old year and the old sufferings. Yet beginning at the 3 rd week up to the last week, everything improved, due to the doctrine of unconditional election and compatibilism. My prayer life improved, I attained the joy of Christ, and many more. The providences of God has graced me greatly. Yet even then, new challenges appear. The problem of my core family still haunts my mind. The problem of sharing Christ to everyone still haunts me too. Perhaps I should not even speak of Christ until I am given explicit command. This is the fullness of what I can do right now. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 31 January 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Today is the last day of January. It is the beginning of my activities. I conquered temptation today by the grace of Christ. Yet now I suffer at the end of the day. Everything seems empty. My studies of the Catechism seems, without meaning. They are all without direction. I merely desire to serve my God and my neighbor. Yet how has my work served them? I only hope that my work shall contribute to eventual service of my neighbor and of God. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. I perceive pain. I perceive suffering. I do not know why. I simply encounter emptiness again. Yet I still possess the joy of Christ. It’s just, heavy, and painful. I was thinking about water. I am not sure which aspect I want to discuss, merely of water proper, of the...

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church The Stages of Revelation

To our first parents, God manifested Himself. While they were indeed capable to reason to God, God still manifested Himself to them out of mercy. There He first communicated revelation to man and clothed man with resplendent grace and justice. However, man fell and God revealed to them the hope of salvation by the promise of redemption and always shows that He cares for man. He desires to give eternal life to those who seek it by patience in good works. God did not abandon man to death, but continually He offered man various covenants. As sin enters the world, the unity of man was broken and so God had to save man part by part. In the Noahide covenant, God expressed the principle of divine economy toward the nations. This international division is cosmic, social, and religious, intended to limit the pride of fallen man, united only in their own pride as in Babel. However, due to sin, both polytheism and idolatry, which are really synonymous, threatens the divine economy due to pag...

Examen 22-28 January 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. This week has been substantially better than the previous weeks. Though consistency is not yet a thing, I don’t think that will ever be a thing. The improvements consist in the addition of the recording and management of my life. I recall that I am also more focused on my activities, that there is no multitasking anymore. On terms of writing I am now fully focused on the Catechism and also writing fiction. I am slowly building back up programming, so it is all good. However, there were mortal sins which requires fixing, so I must repent more. That is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 30 January 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. In this day, I mostly napped due to my exhaustion from the previous days. I played a bit of Minecraft, but that is all. So yeah. That is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 29 January 2023

Bersoraklah, nyanyikan lagu gembira! Bagi Kristus yang telah menebus kita. Bersyukurlah kepada Allah. Kita bangkit bersama Kristus.

Examen 28 January 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Today was a good but also not so good day. For I fell into mortal sin after 2 days of holiness. I am still in my prayer break as well. However the rest of the activities, that is programming, writing, and gaming all went well. Now I am feeling small doses of boredom, but it does not hinder me. That is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 27 January 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. In this day I visited my priest and he approved of my process and also my thoughts. However, there were times where I suffered. I also decided on a prayer break aside from the more personal and routine prayers. It was a relatively good day otherwise and it was a holy day. I also went to EJR and had my Legionary meeting which is also good. That is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 26 January 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Today was a peaceful day. While I joined PEC, the rest of the day was uneventful. I woke up around 9 AM, presumably to pay the debts, and I also had a nap after breakfast. I was unable to fulfill my hours completely, but I pray to God that I shall attain the ability to work better tomorrow. I also lacked prayer, because I woke up late and I had PEC so I cannot join the Liturgies completely. So those are 2 things that need to be fixed. The lack of prayer is of my own nature, not PEC. Now I recall that I bought too much food yesterday, but it was not so bad because Gofood gave me a generous amount of gopay coins. So I don’t have to actually use my gopay for sometime until it is up. That is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 25 January 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. I failed to sleep last night and as such I lacked sleep. However by those means I succeeded in discovering a mystery of the Trinity and it brought me great joy. Today I also fulfilled all Liturgy of the Hours, and I also began recording my life even more, that is my sins, my mistakes, and my hours of labor. That way I evaluate my progress or regress in life. Overall today was a good day. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 24 January 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Today I practiced my personal Rosary and the 23 prayers, but I failed to join the public prayers. Meanwhile I have also succeeded partially in practicing my hours of labor, that is of writing and programming. Programming was cut short due to my lust in gaming. However, everything else went well and my chair returned so it is good. Today was a good day, I pray and hope for a better day tomorrow. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 23 January 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. In this day I began once more my prayer life in the Liturgy of the Hours, then I also began my life manifest, that is the hours of work in a more proper way as well. As such it was a good day. Though as the day neared its end, I perceived some pain due to someone slandering the Holy Catholic Church. That is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

The System of Language

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. In light of the philosophical works I have been creating, I am interested in the establishment of a clear system of language. This system of language will greatly aid in the formation of a philosophical system. What is a system of language? The system of language is the order of relationships beetween symbols of language to form a cohesive and coherent whole of meaning in language. We begin with the relationships contained within words, then we move up the hierarchy to sentences, paragraphs, texts, and finally between texts. We form this system by analysis. What is analysis? Analysis is the breakdown of language to its simplest constituents. There is the breakdown of words and relationships of words in a sentence, the relationship of sentences, paragraphs, and finally texts. The final plan is to establish a philosophical dictionary of every u...

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church God Reveals His “Plan of Loving Goodness”

We may know God with certainty on the basis of natural reason. Yet there is other knowledge of God which we cannot know from natural reason, that is of supernatural revelation. In freedom God revealed His plan of loving goodness formed from all eternity in Christ by sending His beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. God saw that it is good for Him to reveal Himself and make known the mystery of His will, that men should have access to the Triune God by way of Christ in the Holy Spirit and become sharers in the divine nature. God desires to communicate His own divine life to men to adopt them as sons in His only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. This act of revelation communicates grace to man that shall enable them to respond to God, knowing God, and loving God beyond their own natural capacity. Revelation is realized by deeds and words which are related to each other and shed light on each other. God communicates to man in stages which is to culminate in the per...

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church How Can We Speak about God?

As according to the earlier parts of this commentary (link), it is defensible that we can reason about God, therefore we can speak about God to all men and with all men as well. However, as our knowledge of God is limited, so is our language. Every creature bear a certain resemblance to God, by that reason we can take creatures as the starting point for speaking about God. However, even then we must not confuse the image of God with our human representations and symbols. Our language will always fall short of the true infinitude of God. Regardless, our human language, even if in human representations, do speak about God Himself, though His fullness is inexpressible by His infinite simplicity. It is said that we can only know what God is not and how other beings stand in relation to Him. Second Commentary "In defending the ability of human reason to know God, the Church is expressing her confidence in the possibility of speaking about Him to all men and with all men, and therefore...

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church The Knowledge of God According to the Church

It is a teaching of the Church that the knowledge of God’s existence can be obtained with certainty from natural reason. Man has this capacity because he is like God. However, he may find difficulties due to historical conditions, by this reason revelation is necessary to enlighten man. One of the primary reasons is due to original sin, the consequences of original sin hamper man’s capacity for knowing God and sometimes anything at all in the light of God. For this, revelation is given to ease the understanding of man and make the teachings of God clearer without any admixture of error.

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church Ways of Coming to Know God

We are created in the image of God, this means that we are like God. As declarable, our intellect is like the intellect of God, but God’s intellect is infinitely greater than us. There are proofs of the existence of God, they are not natural scientific proofs, but rational proofs. Before anyone can accept these rational proofs of God, they must first accept that rational proofs are in fact a possibility. Without that acceptance, one cannot reach any knowledge of God. Yet these rational proofs are in fact more certain than the scientific proofs, because the scientific proofs are based on the rational proofs and not the other way around. There are 2 ways of proving God, from the world and from the self. From the world’s motion, becoming, contingency, and beauty and order we can eventually reach to a knowledge of God. Though I myself do not use these methods. The human person’s desires for truth, beauty, moral goodness, infinity, and happiness all point to the existence of a spiritual s...

Examen 22 January 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Today was a great day as these days have been. I mostly enjoyed Minecraft and writing and some programming. I updated the life manifest and I hopefully can begin full implementation tomorrow. However, there were some mental pains in the end of the day. But I still retain my joy. That is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church The Desire for God

In the language of the Church, there are words which are not used in the same way as secular philosophy uses them. For example, the word "belief" is equivalent to faith in the Church, instead of the judgement of truth, which is mere intellectual assent. As described, faith is the response of man to God who reveals Himself to man. As described in Philosophy 1 (link), all things are a revelation to man, and man must respond to God. Even the lack of a response is a response in of itself. Communication between man and God is inevitable. How man will respond to God depends on the particular nature of man, as such each person will respond differently to God's revelation. As described in Philosophy 1, man is created by God for the sake of union with God. Yet not only that, every intellect with a will is by nature desirous of goodness, and since only God is goodness, then every intellect which wills is moved to desire God. The right of man to be honored, that is his dignity, is...

Philosophy 1

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. I have received the mandate from the philosophical framework to study reality in order to attain knowledge of goodness. In the order of studying reality, we ask first, “What is the first thing we can know about reality?” This is reasonable as if we study the more advanced parts of reality, then we eventually have to regress back to the more foundational parts of reality. Therefore, it is better for us to study first the foundational ideas to avoid further regressions. The first truth that we can know about reality is apparently perception. What is perception? In brief, perception is immediate contact with reality. This presupposes the idea of reality, but the truth of perception is sufficient to ground the truth of existence. It shall be clearer if we understand that perception are 3 things, sensation, thought, and emotion. These all constit...

Examen 15-21 January 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. This week has been a glorious week. There were substantial improvements in my life of prayer. I also had a training in leadership. However, it is still inconsistent. It is hoped that in the next week I can increase my life of prayer even more and witness greater improvements. I also plan to update my life manifest to reflect the new plans. I thank God for His gracious movements to me. That is all, amen. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

Examen 21 January 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Today I woke up early, but felt sleepy so had major naps after that. Today I enjoyed Minecraft. And I was also inspired to rebegin fictional thought. However, when I was walking I had to endure some suffering, but I offered it up to God and in the end I recovered. I believe that is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

The Philosophical Framework

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. As mentioned in the previous text , there are previous ideas from past writings which are necessary for the beginning of philosophy. These ideas are as follows: That there is such a thing as goodness. That goodness exists within reality. That there is such a thing as reality. That there is such a thing as existence. That it is necessary to study the more fundamental properties of any object first before we can study the particular properties of that object. By this reasoning, since the properties of reality are more fundamental to the properties of goodness, we ought to study reality first in general, or reality as reality. Therefore, the first task of philosophy is to study reality and only when we have an adequate understanding of reality do we study goodness. How do we study reality? We first observe what is true, and then infer from those...

Examen 20 January 2023

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Today was a joyful day, for I enjoyed Minecraft and I also enjoyed my new life habits. For writing, I wrote some stuff as well so I enjoyed that. Yet the previous night I had difficulties sleeping. I also joined EJR and enjoyed that. There are several points I wish to convey, that is the beauty of creation which reflects the beauty of God, my new eating habit of eating when I am hungry, and finally my chair breaking down. I believe that is all. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

The Beginning of Philosophy

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. The beginning of philosophy is simply whatever we encounter in our life. In my context, it is whatever I have at the beginning of the philosophical act. To be precise, it is what I know, but of course this is not the true beginning of my act of philosophy. There has been numerous philosophical acts from many years ago. This is however a renewal within my philosophical act, an attempt to canonize writings into an canonical system of philosophy. In my case, there are many things that I know, but it is good to attempt to formalize and articulate that knowledge into a good form of language, a good text. For while I know, by writing I may discover even more and result in greater understanding of what I possess. My knowledge is centralized into one Existence, that is God. Most things I know are related to God in one way or another and has been redu...

Commentary on Cathechism of the Catholic Church Prologue

As the Prologue declares, God created us for good. Every man is created for the sake of union with God. He invites every man to be saved and to be reunited under the family of the Church. The fullness of this plan begins with the sending of Christ Jesus, the Son of God and God the Son to redeem and save men from sin. In union with God, man becomes adopted children of God through their union to Christ and thus they shall inherit the life of God Himself. Therefore, the apostles of Christ are sent throughout the world to preach the call of God, now known as the Gospel. Those who believe in Christ and God are urged by the love of Christ to preach what they have received, the Gospel or literally Good News, to all people so that more people enter into salvation. This treasure is handed down from Christ to the apostles to the successors and all believers are called to hand down this Gospel to the generations, by profession, practice, and celebration. Catechesis is the name for the totali...

Prologue to Commentary on Catechism of the Catholic Church

The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) is like the Bible, that is it presupposes many things and do not necessarily begin with the absolute beginning of all reasoning. As such, this text is meant to be a prologue before I begin my commentary on the CCC. This prologue will contain the exposition of the main presuppositions of the CCC. The presuppositions that will be discussed is on the nature of the self, the nature of God, and the relationship between the self and God. In terms of the self I shall discuss the intellect and the greater world. In terms of God I shall discuss His existence and His fundamental attributes. In terms of the self and God I shall discuss creation, the goal of creation, and finally revelation. We are bodies, but the true nature of ourselves is of the intellect. The body is merely an extension of the intellect. What is an intellect? An intellect is any object capable of receiving information of reality or perception of reality, storing that information, pr...
